Overview

Manage today’s most difficult credentialing and privileging challenges.

Based on the Greeley Credentialing Method, this seminar will provide credentials committee members and medical staff leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to design a credentialing and privileging program that protects patients, is fair to physicians and clinicians, and complies with accreditation and regulatory requirements.

  • Understand the evolving accreditation credentialing and privileging requirements of The Joint Commission, CMS, HFAP, and DNV
  • Grant, renew, or deny privileges based on an objective, evidence-based process
  • Meet The Joint Commission's requirement for FPPE for new privileges
  • Manage low- and no-volume practitioners
  • Protect the hospital from negligent credentialing lawsuits
  • Respond effectively when practitioners drop privileges to get out of ED call
  • Avoid triggering physician antitrust suits
  • Protect patients as you introduce new technology
  • Safely credential aging and potentially impaired physicians
  • Address allied health practitioner credentialing challenges
  • Match privileges granted to demonstrated competence
  • Apply "competency clusters" to practitioners who reduce their scope of practice

What your colleagues say...

"The difference between these seminars and others is the numerous practical actions I take back and implement. I don't just learn concepts and get ideas. I learn practical approaches that I can apply at my hospital with minor modifications. Thank you!"
—Jill Miranda Baker
Mariners Hospital, Tavernier, FL

"I'm going to work to get my medical staff leaders to attend these programs and feel that my experience this week gives me the ability to convey how worthwhile these programs can be to my medical staff leaders who have minimal, if any training to do what they do."
—Karen Callahan, JD
Rodolf & Todd, Tulsa, OK
