Health Administration (OSHA) released the Needlestick Safety and Prevention Act
in 2001. Its aim was to create a safer surgical environment through a clamp down
on unsafe needlesticks. However, not many hospitals and clinics have been
cooperating with the law, says Ron Stoker, executive director of the
