rushMedicare officials in Washington, DC, revised billing
procedures and codes for mammography recently, according to an October 25
announcement. The updates go into effect on, of all days, April 1, 2003. But the
joke’s on you if you don’t update your billing process to reflect
the following changes:
• You can bill add-on code G0236 in conjunction with these four codes
for primary-service diagnostic mammography: 76090, 76091, G0204,
G0206.
• Medicare will not pay you if you bill
