AUDIOCONFERENCE ON TAPE OR CD
Sponsored by Radiology Administrator’s Compliance & Reimbursement Insider
presented on July 12, 2006
Heart images continue to improve our ability to investigate coronary diseases and appropriately diagnosis them. With new computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography (PET) scanners capturing ever more detail, the race is on to provide such scans to both physicians and patients.
But who will pay for such expensive images and how will your facility bill for them?
Listen to this audioconference and learn how to improve your facility’s reimbursement for diagnostic cardiac images ranging from MRI to ultrasound, CT to PET. Our speakers will give you strategies to ensure compliant documentation as well as coding and billing information to get you the financial return such imaging investments demand.
Take a look at our agenda
Our speakers will review four main categories of cardiac imaging: coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA), Nuclear Imaging, MRI, and echocardiograms, and discuss the following for each:
- Definitions of new CPT codes
- New local coverage determination (LCD) and coding guidelines
- American College of Cardiology and the American College of Radiology recommendation for ranges of relative value units for category III codes
A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
You'll walk away from this audioconference with practical processes to ensure appropriate documentation, coding, billing, and reimbursement for these procedures. You will also avoid common coding errors such often associated with
- CT of the chest
- Computed tomography angiography (CTA) of the chest
- CTA of the coronary arteries
Bonus tools you can use right away
Along with your materials package, you'll receive
- a documentation checklist
