Featured speakers
Lori Massaro, MSN, CRNP, is an acute care nurse practitioner at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Stroke Institute. As a member of the stroke team, she is responsible for the acute stroke triage and treatment protocols, as well as daily rounds, and patient/family communication. She also holds a liaison role with other members of the healthcare team. She has lectured both locally and nationally on acute stroke care, CT scan interpretation, and a variety of neurological nursing topics.
Amy Paratore, RN, is director of emergency/critical care/trauma services at Tampa (FL) General Hospital. Amy has 25 years of experience as a registered nurse within progressive, academic, tertiary medical centers, including 13 years at the director level. While at Tampa General, she initiated successful attainment of 11 JCAHO disease-specific certified programs (primary sponsor for stroke, epilepsy, and trauma), as well as AACN Beacon designation for the SICU.
