MEET THE SPEAKERS:
John Goehle, MBA, CASC, CPA, is chief operating officer at Brighton Surgery Center in Rochester, New York. Goehle is a nationally known ambulatory surgery consultant and has served on the boards of both the Federated Ambulatory Surgery Association and the New York State Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers. He is also a surveyor with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and was founder of the New York State Association for ASC's. His book titled Financial Management Made Easy: Strategies for Ambulatory Surgery Centers is scheduled to be published by HCPro in November 2005.
Patricia A. Churchwell, RN, BA, is vice president of development with Surgery Consultants of America. For the last fifteen years, Ms. Churchwell has been providing consulting services to the healthcare industry. She has been the project manager for the development and management of multiple ambulatory surgery centers. Ms. Churchwell is also responsible for the development of financial feasibility analysis, projections, and annual budgets for all the Centers in development and management phases of the projects. She has also been the project manager for the design, development, and implementation phases of ambulatory care centers. In addition, she has over twenty-five years of clinical and management experience with inpatient and ambulatory surgery facilities, emergency and urgent care centers, radiology centers, and women's centers.
