Today's rapidly evolving healthcare environment leaves you no choice: you must implement new information technologies to drive and support the growth of your hospital. But, ensuring that IT implementation runs smoothly is a major challenge that requires detailed planning and careful management.

Without proper governance, deployments of cross-departmental information systems can easily run over budget, consume excessive resources, and in some cases, fail outright.

Learn from Gary Baldwin, technology editor for HealthLeaders Magazine during this 90-minute webcast: "Simplifying the Management of Complex Technology Projects." This program uses case-study analysis to look at the IT governance and management structures in place at hospitals that have successfully deployed new information systems.

Watch and listen as three speakers bring their unique “lessons learned” to the table, and offer valuable tips and advice on which key obstacles you can avoid. Following a general introduction to IT management and structure, each speaker will discuss

  1. A synopsis of their particular project
  2. How the project was structured and managed, and who was involved
  3. What challenges were faced
  4. Practical solutions to these challenges

Speakers will also engage in a round-table panel discussion facilitated by Gary Baldwin regarding complex technology projects in your organization.
