AUDIOCONFERENCE ON TAPE OR CD
Sponsored by Medication Reconciliation:Practical Strategies and Tools for JCAHO Compliance
presented on October 10, 2006
Medication reconciliation is a vital element of patient safety, but it’s also a trouble spot for many facilities.
And the changes for 2007 promise to make compliance even more challenging. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) has revamped its requirements for this National Patient Safety Goal, giving it more of a standards format, including specific elements of performance. Hospitals must make sure their implementation efforts include every phase of patient care—from admission to transfer to discharge.
You need all the help you can get to decipher the changes and train staff to comply.
Listen to HCPro's audioconference, Medication Reconciliation Update: Must-haves for JCAHO compliance in 2007. During this 90-minute program, our experienced speakers (including a former JCAHO executive director) discuss best practices for complying with this goal with a special focus on the recently announced changes. Gain an in-depth understanding of the updated medication reconciliation requirements and how they will affect your internal processes. You will learn how to accurately assess your hospital's compliance with this goal, how to focus on areas that need improvement, and how to hone your medication reconciliation in all departments.
