ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Tom Lohuis, RN, BSN, NHA, is the chief executive officer for the Wellspring Institute, an organization committed to organizational culture change and quality improvement. Prior to joining the Institute, Lohuis worked in senior leadership roles at Good Shepherd Services (GSS), the facility that co-founded Wellspring in Northeastern Wisconsin. Starting as the director of nursing, he ultimately became the nursing home administrator and operations director. Lohuis' organization was in compliance for the entire nine years of his tenure at GSS. In fact, his organization was in full compliance for nine consecutive surveys.
Debbie Ohl, RN, LNHA, is the founder and president of Ohl & Associates, a long-term care education and resources company. Ms. Ohl has had a distinguished career, which began "in the trenches" and has spanned more than 25 years in nearly every facet of the industry.
