AUDIOCONFERENCE ON TAPE OR CD
Sponsored by "Coding and Billing for Outpatient Rehab Made Easy"
presented on October 18, 2006
Payers are looking at documentation more thoroughly than ever.
Be sure you can prove medical necessity by using ICD-9 codes and CCI edits correctly.
Most therapists understand the importance of using CPT codes to receive accurate reimbursement. Failure to do the same with ICD-9 codes and CCI edits can be just as costly. Therapists must learn to distinguish between ICD-9 codes and CPT codes; medical diagnosis codes and treatment diagnosis codes; and mutually exclusive and column 1/column 2 edits—it's the only way to ensure full and timely reimbursement.
Listen to this 90-minute audioconference and learn how to use ICD-9 codes and CCI edits to meet your payers' demands. During Using ICD-9 Codes and CCI Edits in the Outpatient Rehab Setting, expert Rick Gawenda, PT, educates listeners about the most common ICD-9 codes, including how to locate them, how to use ICD-9 codes to support medical necessity, and how to determine when and where to attach modifier -59.
