AUDIOCONFERENCE ON TAPE OR CD
Sponsored by “Pandemic Drill-Down: Preparing for JCAHO's Revised EC 4.20”
presented on November 14, 2006
Planning for a pandemic, such as avian flu, is high priority on the list of JCAHO concerns...
How can you be sure your facility is prepared?
Effective July 1, 2006 the JCAHO revised its emergency management standard EC.4.20 to include more elements of performance in this area. JCAHO has also added preparation for the influx of patients under its Infection Control Standards. All hospitals are affected and must now plan and conduct realistic pandemic drills to ensure patient safety and stay in compliance.
Listen to this 90-minute audioconference and learn how to make your next pandemic exercise a meaningful, educational event for your employees and a true test of your emergency management plan. During Pandemic Exercise Drill Down: Implementing JCAHO’s Revised EC and IC Standards, experts Peggy Prinz Luebbert, MS, MT(ASCP),CIC, CHSP, and James E. M. Bender, EMT-P, teach you the key changes to the JCAHO standard, types of specific exercises necessary to test pan flu preparedness, and how to plan an effective exercise. You'll also learn to evaluate the results, and integrate what was learned into your facility's emergency management plan.
You will receive examples of needs assessment and evaluation forms that can be used during an exercise.
