AUDIOCONFERENCE ON TAPE OR CD
Sponsored by Managing Observation Status:
A Team Approach to Compliance and Revenue Integrity
presented on November 14, 2006
Is everyone in your facility on the same page when it comes to observation status?
Short stays have become a major regulatory and financial challenge. On the national level, quality improvement organizations (QIOs, independent review groups) are initiating short-stay projects to evaluate the appropriateness of hospital one-day stays. On the other side, hospitals are overusing observation dramatically and often inappropriately.
Stay in compliance by eliminating confusion
Listen to this 90-minute audioconference, Observation status v. short stays: Build a compliant, cost-effective program, where our experts will teach you how to put a short-stay compliance program in place that will be revenue positive and help keep the OIG out of your facility.
It’s up to you to develop a program that will create agreement across the board. Our experts will help you get your staff properly trained so that both the physicians and the clinical staff are on the same page. By eliminating all the confusion, your facility will stay on the same track on the road to compliance.
Note: This is an intermediate-level program. Participants should be familiar with the topic of observation.
