P4P in action—learn from two real-life case studies!
More than 100 pay-for-performance programs are now up and running and many hospitals are reaping financial rewards as well as recognition from the public and their peers.
If you think a Pay-for-Performance (P4P) program can only be established and work successfully in large facilities with unlimited finances—think again.
Two medium-sized hospitals reveal strategies and tips to achieve dramatic results
This audioconference presents two different but equally dynamic case studies detailing how two medium-sized hospitals established successful P4P systems. Without breaking the bank, each facility has obtained physician buy-in and dramatically improved quality of care. Both participated in the Premier/CMS pay-for-performance pilot.
You hear speakers from Community Health Partners Regional Health System—a hospital that was already a high performer going in to P4P pilot that received a bonus of $106,907 from CMS. Along with speakers from Cleveland County Healthcare System—a facility that wanted to improve its scores, and went from the lower deciles to the highest deciles in less than one year—they each share:
- Key factors for getting the P4P program off the ground
- Insight to overcoming barriers
- Ideas to gain physician buy-in
- Financial and unexpected rewards
ONE-OF-A-KIND BONUS FEATURE
Looking back: “If I knew then what I know now”
The speakers wrap up their case studies with a unique discussion about what they would do differently if they knew then what they know now. It’s a critical lessons learned section that you can’t afford to miss!
The highly influential Institute of Medicine is fueling the call for a phased-in mandatory P4P program. That coupled with the Deficit Reduction Act ordering by Congress to put a P4P program in place in the next two year, means you can’t waste any time developing a successful program in your facility.
Adopt the best practices, practical advice, and simple strategies presented in this audioconference to not only meet government regulations but enjoy the benefits of an effective P4P system—greater financial return, improved quality, and refined care processes.
