FACULTY
Michael S. Friedberg, FACHE, CHAM, is a manager at Besler Consulting in New Jersey. As the former corporate director of Patient Access for a multi hospital system in New Jersey, he was responsible for the admission/registration, financial counseling, and charity care areas. With more than 10 years of experience in healthcare finance, his expertise in Patient Access has helped hospitals avoid significant lost revenues. He works to eliminate this commonly unrealized source of lost revenues while also safeguarding patient access process for the future, ultimately resulting in monetary savings for facilities.
Ed Santiago, CHAM, is currently manager of patient access and financial services at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh NY. He is responsible for Access Areas at both campuses and has oversight responsibility of those functions at the various satellite facilities. He has over 10 years experience in healthcare and has demonstrated positive results in quality, staff development and front end cash collections.
