Diana Voorhees, M.A., CLS, MT, SH, CLCP, is a nationally recognized healthcare reimbursement and compliance consultant and principal of DV & Associates, Inc. of Salt Lake City, Utah. Ms. Voorhees has worked in laboratory medicine for several years and spent many of these years as an Associate Clinical Professor in Medical Laboratory Sciences at the University of Utah. She has authored/edited several articles for professional publications and provided numerous presentations for various companies and organizations including ASCLS, ASCP, AACC, AAPC, AABB, CLMA, MGMA, HFMA, Coulter Corporation, G-2 Compliance Report, Laboratory Institute, MLO, United Communications Group, The Greater Cleveland Hospital Association, and the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council. Ms. Voorhees has published a monthly column for ten years, Compliance Report, in Advance Newsmagazine. She is also on the editorial board of Laboratory Compliance Insider. Additionally, she completed a chapter on coding and reimbursement for a well known text book on laboratory administration. Christopher Young, CHC, is President of Laboratory Management Support Services (LMSS) located in Phoenix, Arizona. LMSS provides services for developing or implementing compliance programs, conducting or overseeing audits, billing and coding, Medicare rules and regulations, and training and educating for compliance. Mr. Young is certified in HealthCare Compliance by the Health Care Compliance Board of the Health Care Compliance Association. He is a compliance professional with nearly 20 years of experience in laboratory compliance issues. He is an HEW-certified medical technologist, former chairperson of the CLMA Health-Care Policy Committee, and former member of the Medicare Billing Issues Committee for CLMA.
