AUDIOCONFERENCE ON TAPE OR CD
Sponsored by The QI/QM Troubleshooter
presented on May 10, 2007
What you don’t know about the Quality Indicator Survey could hurt you.
CMS has begun to use its new survey method called the Quality Indicator Survey (QIS). The QIS calls for online, offsite review of facility records by a surveyor before the survey begins. This will alert surveyors to trouble areas in the facility where they should focus. Facilities need information on this new process so they can:
- learn what the QIS entails and how it can lead to damaging deficiencies
- get tips on trouble-shooting when surveyors do pick out trouble spots in the QIS survey
- hear from experts on how this new process is really being scored
Listen to The Quality Indicator Survey: SNFs Must Learn the QIS Process and How to Avoid Increased Deficiencies, a 90-minute audioconference that will address the difference between the traditional CMS survey and the newer QIS process. Our experts can help you build an awareness of the interrelationship between Minimum Data Set (MDS) reports, care plans, and the new QIS survey process. The MDS and care plans will ultimately predict your survey results. Our experts show you how to tighten up medical records to avoid raising red flags to surveyors.
At the conclusion of this program, you’ll be able to:
- Identify the expectations of the new CMS survey process
- Clarify the difference between traditional and QIS surveys
- Implement tips to succeed from real-life examples
- Use quality assessment and assurance practices for survey success
