MEET THE SPEAKERS
Patricia Pejakovich, RN, BSN, MPA, CPHQ. Ms. Pejakovich, a consultant at The Greeley Company, brings over 25 years of management experience to her work with hospitals and medical facilities. Pejakovich applies leadership and nursing experiences to help hospitals and medical staffs develop solutions to their toughest problems. She has a particular expertise in accreditation standards and regulatory compliance. Pejakovich has consulted on utilization management, credentialing, data management and design, hospital and medical staff quality improvement (QI) processes, forms, documents, tools and reports to support improvement activities, infection control, organizational readiness for survey, policy and procedure development, and employee orientation and competency assessments.
Sallie M. Gatlin, CPHQ, Director, Quality Resource Management, Pampa Regional Medical Center. Sallie M. Gatlin entered the quality field in November 1983, one month after DRGs hit the nation. Since 1988 she has directed multi-function quality departments in five hospital systems in Texas, Louisiana, and Indiana. Currently Ms. Gatlin directs the quality department at a 115 bed rural hospital in Pampa, Texas which is one of four hospitals in a brand new for-profit healthcare system called Signature Hospital Corporation. Effective 1 Aug 06 she was appointed to serve as the corporate quality consultant in addition to her hospital responsibilities. Since 1988 she has been continuously certified as a professional in healthcare quality and currently Ms. Gatlin is a candidate for the Masters in Healthcare Administration with an expected completion date of fall 2007.
