Meet the Speakers
Bill Mateja, JD, Partner, Fish & Richardson, Dallas, TX. Mateja served as point person for President Bush’s Corporate Fraud Task Force while overseeing the Justice Department's corporate fraud efforts. As Senior Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General, he oversaw the Justice Department's efforts in a number of high profile corporate fraud prosecutions, including Enron, WorldCom, HealthSouth, Schering Plough Pharma, and the conviction of Warner-Lambert's Parke-Davis pharmaceutical division in connection with its illegal promotion of off-label uses for Neurontin. Mateja is a well-known expert on internal communication issues.
Jane Wright-Mitchell, PharmD, JD, (Moderator), Director of Legal Affairs, Actelion Pharmaceuticals US, Inc. Wright-Mitchell’s’s practice focuses on the areas of regulatory compliance, corporate, healthcare and litigation, as well as all aspects of intellectual property law including patent, trademark, copyright and anti-competition law. She is responsible for regulatory compliance oversight, development and implementation of compliance training, grant review processing, and communications with the various federal and state agencies.
