AUDIOCONFERENCE ON TAPE, CD OR AUDIO ARCHIVE
Sponsored by the Patient Access Resource Center (PARC)
presented on September 25, 2007
Due to tremendous audience response, HCPro is offering a replay of "The New Important Message from Medicare Regulation: Simplify your Process and Ensure Compliance." The show is updated with content on the HINN 12, CMS updates, and live expert analysis from HCPro’s Medicare regulatory specialist.
Is your response to Medicare's new Important Message requirement appropriate?
CMS’ Important Message from Medicare and Notification of Hospital Discharge Appeal Rights went into effect on July 1. The beefed-up rule requires your facility to issue inpatients two notices: one at admission and again at discharge; and educate patients about their rights. You’re also required to obtain a patient’s signature of acknowledgement and be able to demonstrate compliance.
<
Is your facility prepared? Who will issue the first notice of discharge? Who will issue the second notice of discharge? Where will you house the proper paperwork to ensure proof of compliance? And how will you train your staff to deliver these messages?
Listen to HCPro for a replay of The New Important Message from Medicare Regulation: Simplify your Process and Ensure Compliance—originally broadcast on July 24. This 90-minute audioconference will feature content from the first show, as well as an update on HINN 12, the other half of the Important Message picture, regarding a patient's financial liability for non-covered services.
