WEBCAST ON CD Sponsored byCompliance Speedway
presented on November 15, 2007
States are focusing more and more on gifts pharmaceutical companies give to prescribers. Where your organization is based, where you do business, and how you track your gifts are all major factors in the statutes that apply to your organization, and the scrutiny you can expect from regulators. Penalties for non-compliance are high, and with each individual incident punishable by a separate fine, the cost of being sloppy is steep.
As budget planning for the new year begins, you need to know how best to allocate your organization’s gift-giving dollars and remain in compliance with state-specific rules. You need to consider how you can effectively track gift-reporting rules and how to predict which rules will affect your organization in the future.
Prepare for future regulation
Listen to HCPro's 60-minute webcast “Gift Reporting: Navigate state-specific rules to avoid conflicts of interest.” Legal advisors Bruce Armon and Tanya Berlage, attorneys with Saul Ewing LLP, and Eileen May, senior director of operations for ADVOGENT, provide practical strategies you can use to help your company avoid costly mistakes. Discussion focuses on the states where restrictions are in place, and how these statutes may impact provisions in other states.
At the end of this audioconference, you will be able to:
- Recognize proactive steps for handling gift reporting compliance issues
- Integrate tips and best practices for the reporting and tracking of gifts
