Take advantage of your second chance to participate in PQRI
If you didn’t participate in the first round of the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI), don’t worry because you’ll have a second chance. CMS will embark on its second phase of this voluntary initiative, expanding the number of quality measures from the original 74 and continuing to provide a financial incentive for participation. The new phase will take effect January 1, 2008, but the preparations begin now. Get the recognition you deserve by reporting the quality services you provide.
Listen to HCPro's Prepare for the 2008 Physician Quality Reporting Initiative: Identify new measures and increase physician engagement. During this 90-minute audioconference, our experts walk you through the concept of pay-for-performance and public data reporting. You’ll learn what’s new for 2008 and get a clinical understanding of common measures. Our speakers will also give you guidance to develop the PQRI infrastructure and performance improvement activities for success in your facility. Plus, they give you monitoring tools and tips to help you generate internal feedback on your performance.
Physician engagement is critical to success
Because a successful PQRI program depends on constant physician involvement, our speakers explain tips and strategies to engage physicians in this process. Physicians listening to this program will understand what to expect from coders, and they will learn about the long-term benefits of quality reporting.
