AUDIOCONFERENCE ON CD OR AUDIO ARCHIVE
Sponsored by the book Nursing Peer Review:
A Practical Approach to Promoting Professional Nursing Accountabilitypresented on December 11, 2007
Physicians have been conducting peer review for decades and now it is time for nursing to establish the same standards to evaluate and promote safe patient care. Formal peer review can be valuable as organizations attempt to raise their standard of nursing excellence and it can be part of an organization's efforts to achieve designation from the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*. Unfortunately, it can also be a complicated process to implement, fraught with emotional and procedural issues. But with the proper guidance, your facility can streamline the implementation process, resulting in better patient care, patient safety, and improved nurse professionalism and accountability.
Listen to HCPro's Formal Nursing Peer Review: Perform incident-based case review to promote professional nursing accountability. During this 90-minute audioconference, speakers Laura Cook Harrington, RN, MHA, CPHQ, CHCQM, FAIHQ, Marla Smith, MHSA, and Meryl Montgomery, RN, MSN, walk listeners through the necessary steps to organize, structure, and implement a sophisticated approach to nursing peer review.
