FACULTY
Laura Harrington, RN, MHA, CPHQ, CHCQM, FAIHQ, director of live events & continuing education and senior consultant at The Greeley Company. She is an experienced healthcare manager with extensive experience in the area of performance improvement, risk, case management, and credentialing. Ms. Harrington is a registered nurse, Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, and Fellow of the American Board of Quality Assurance & Utilization Review Physicians.
Marla Smith, MHSA, associate consultant for The Greeley Company in the Quality and Patient Safety Practice. Her areas of expertise are in medical staff and nursing peer review, medical and hospital quality performance improvement, and physician and hospital based data analysis. Ms. Smith works closely with clients during the assessment and restructuring of medical staff and hospital quality programs. She also works closely with clients in the development of peer review case tracking and physician profile methodologies and systems.
Meryl Montgomery, RN, MSN, director of the Learning Center at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. She has more than 30 years experience in acute-care nursing. She began her nursing career in Minneapolis, MN, where she was a critical care nurse and then a critical care clinical nurse specialist. Ms. Montgomery relocated to Macon, GA, and the Medical Center of Central Georgia, a Level 1 Trauma 1 Center and the second largest hospital in the state. She has held the positions of Medical, Surgical, and Critical Care Director for the Medical Center.
