MEET THE SPEAKERS
Stephen Weber, MD, MS, is the hospital epidemiologist and Medical dDrector of Infection Control and Clinical Quality at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he is an Assistant Professor in the Section of Infectious Diseases.  He presided over the joint task force on legislation mandating active surveillance screening for antimicrobial-resistant bacteria held by the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) and the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology.  Dr. Weber currently serves on the SHEA Public Policy Committee. His primary research interest is in the epidemiology of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria among geriatric patients.
