FACULTY
Jackie Birmingham, RN, BSN, MS, CMAC, Vice President for Professional Services, Curaspan, Inc. In her more than 40 years in healthcare, she has spent 25 years in discharge planning and case management. Jackie is a noted author and frequent speaker. She is chair of the Legislative and Advocacy committee of the American Case Management Association, is certified in and a Board member of the Case Management Administration Certification program.
Carol Sylvester, MS, RN, Senior Director of Care Management at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, a 330 bed academic medical center in the Johns Hopkins Health System. Ms. Sylvester is responsible for Case Management, Utilization Management, Social Work, Clinical Outcomes Measurement, and Capacity/throughput management. She has been a nurse for over 36 years with clinical and leadership roles in a variety of settings including Home Health Care, Acute Care, Long Term Care and Managed Care.
