MEET THE SPEAKERS
Kurt Patton served as executive director of Accreditation Services at The Joint Commission (formerly JCAHO) for over seven years until his retirement in December 2005. In this role, he worked with all types of accredited organizations seeking to be re surveyed, and new organizations seeking to become accredited.
Lori Massaro , MSN, CRNP, acute care nurse practitioner at UPMC Stroke Institute. As a member of the stroke team, she is responsible for the acute stroke triage and treatment protocols, as well as daily rounds, patient/family communication, and a liaison role with other members of the health care team. She has lectured both locally and nationally on acute stroke care, CT scan interpretation, and a variety of neurological nursing topics.
