The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has JUST RELEASED the updates to the home health Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) User Manual effective January 1, 2008.
Chapter 8, which includes the much-anticipated updates, breaks down all of the OASIS items. Changes include:
- Addition of M0110, which deals with early and late episodes
- Deletion of M0 items dealing with recertification and follow-up assessments; and
- Addition of new items to handle recertification and follow-up assessments.
