MEET THE SPEAKER

Joan L. Usher, BS, RHIA, COS-C, ACE, is president of JLU Health Record Systems in Pembroke, MA. During the past 11 years, Usher has educated more than 5,000 people in 11 states on ICD-9 coding. For more than 20 years, she has worked in home health consulting. Usher is a past president of the Massachusetts Health Information Management Association (MHIMA) and has served three years as a delegate for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
