Product Description:
AUDIOCONFERENCE ON CD OR AUDIO ARCHIVE
Sponsored by ICD-9 Coding for Home Health: A Comprehensive Coder's Guide
Featuring coding expert Joan L. Usher, BS, RHIA, COS-C, ACE
presented on January 30, 2008
Just one coding tip from this program will more than pay for the cost of the audioconference!
The final home health prospective payment system (PPS) rule is here! The PPS changes require home health agencies to have an in-depth understanding of ICD-9 coding to get paid appropriately under the new system. Inaccurate coding can cost your organization money—and no home health agency can afford financial losses, especially if they could have been avoided.
Accurate coding equals full reimbursement
Keep your head above water and learn the new changes by listening to the 90-minute audioconference, Home Health Coding Under the 2008 PPS Changes: Appropriate use of ICD-9 codes for reimbursement. Coding expert Joan L. Usher, BS, RHIA, COS-C, ACE, walks listeners through coding changes in major diagnostic areas and relates which codes receive PPS “points”—which mean changes in your reimbursement. Receive samples of challenging real-life scenarios that listeners will be able to complete accurately after listening to this program.
Remember, the use of just one tip provided in this program will pay for this audioconference. Don’t miss out! Bring your entire coding team and make it a group training session!
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Apply the coding changes to home health PPS
- Appropriately use codes for the OASIS and claim forms
- Describe the changes in coding neoplasms, diabetes, COPD, CVAs, wounds, and more
- Determine how coding changes will affect home health agency reimbursement
- Recall tips for coding success in 2008
