Practical Approaches to Verifying Physician Competence

Perfect your FPPE process!
There is no question that the Joint Commission’s focused professional practice evaluation (FPPE) expectations are challenging. Many medical staff leaders, quality professionals, and MSPs are overwhelmed with implementation questions. All involved in the FPPE process struggle to determine who is responsible for carrying out and following up on competency management and other FPPE-related processes.
While you’re trying to make sense of FPPE, The Joint Commission could be gearing up to scrutinize your competency data.
Learn how to create, analyze, and keep up with a comprehensive FPPE program by listening to HCPro's Collect, Collaborate, and Comply: Building an effective FPPE solution. Our expert speakers Vicki Searcy, CPMSM, and Mark Smith, MD, MBA, FACS, will explain successful strategies to work together, assign roles, and ensure effective communication between departments and committees. Plus they will answer many common questions such as who “owns” FPPE, what role should the MSO, quality department, medical executive committee (MEC), and credentials committee play, and who analyzes the results and plans “next steps?”
