Gain control over your release-of-information

Featuring experts Rose T. Dunn, RHIA, CPA, FACHE, and Patricia Tooley, RN, BSN, CIPP

Release of information (ROI) contains many gray areas. It’s critical for you to understand to whom you can release information and under which circumstances. And with the high volume of requests that hospitals face everyday, it’s important that you understand those gray areas and how to develop strategies to maintain compliance and streamline efficiency. One way to gain greater control over your releases—as well as potentially generate revenue—is to bring your ROI function back in-house.

Industry experts Rose T. Dunn, RHIA, CPA, FACHE, and Patricia Tooley, RN, BSN, CIPP, detail the pros and cons of bringing your ROI back in-house during this 90-minute audioconference. They discuss real-life scenarios involving confusing aspects of ROI, as well as a case study from one hospital that brought its ROI function back in-house to better control its releases and generate revenue for the hospital. They also discuss ways in which you can increase the efficiency of your current department if you’ve already developed one.

How can you conquer the more confusing areas of ROI while ensuring compliance?

With this insider information, you’ll be able to handle confusing ROI scenarios as well as justify the need for an internal program.
