AUDIOCONFERENCE ON CD OR AUDIO ARCHIVE
Sponsored by Case Management Monthly
presented on February 28, 2008
Each year, hospitals spend $34 billion in uncompensated care. With nearly 50 million uninsured patients in the U.S., case managers consistently struggle to treat and discharge patients with little or no insurance. Many hospitals lack the ability to connect the uninsured to vital community resources and prevent non-emergent cases from clogging the emergency department (ED).
Safely discharge the uninsured without sacrificing your hospital’s bottom line
Listen to HCPro and expert speakers Wendy DeVreugd, RN, BSN, PHN, FNP, and Matt Boettcher, LCSW for this audioconference. In just 90-minutes, you and your colleagues will learn how to apply both simple, short-term and formalized, long-term solutions for managing the uninsured and underfunded populations that have proven successful at a small community hospital and a large trauma center.
Don’t miss our speakers as they share different, cost-saving models of and case examples for dealing with this growing problem. You and your staff will gain insight from hospitals that saved money by investing in free prevention instead of repeated treatment.
