What if your Medicare patient was in a car accident and his auto insurance is paying for a portion of his care? What if your patient is a veteran and the VA is picking up the tab for some of his medical procedures? Your hospital still may be entitled to Medicare reimbursement; however, you may miss out on this opportunity without proper attention to the Medicare as Secondary Payer (MSP) Questionnaire.

The MSP Questionnaire is not a mandatory form, and yet by failing to issue it at registration, you risk losing appropriate Medicare reimbursement. Does your staff understand what the form is? Do they know when it’s appropriate to use the form---and ensure it’s complete and accurate?

Give your staff the MSP Questionnaire training they need

Listen to HCPro's 90-minute audioconference “The MSP Questionnaire: Strategies to train staff and maintain compliance.” Patient Access  experts Catherine Mosca and Eugene Cepeda will detail the importance of coordinating benefits, and the financial consequences of not doing so. You will learn detailed, practical training tips on how to educate your staff on the concept of the MSP Questionnaire as well as the successful execution of delivery at the proper time.
