Shelley Cohen, RN, BS, CEN, is the educator and consultant for Health Resources Unlimited, a company she founded in 1997. Her humorous approach to problem-solving has captivated audiences nationwide. She brings 30 years of experience into the classroom and is nationally known as an author, speaker, and coach. Currently active in patient care, her timely experiences are relevant to the issues at hand, which allows her to understand the perspectives from both the staff nurse as well as the administrative team. Her Web-based Tips of The Month and her publications through HCPro have had a positive effect on healthcare workers by empowering them with knowledge. With a focus on triage and leadership development, she is committed to the mission of Health Resources Unlimited by offering reality-based, timely programs.
Lydia Ostermeier MSN, RN, CHCR, is Director of Nurse Recruitment, Retention, Workforce Development, Resource Allocation and Customer Service at Clarian Health in Indianapolis, IN. In addition to recruiting and retaining about 5,000 nurses, Lydia initiates and maintains numerous workforce development opportunities that boost the number of qualified candidates in the pipeline for healthcare professions. She also manages contingent labor resources for the Clarian system, providing 350 internal resource pool nurses to Clarian’s urban and suburban hospitals. She joined Clarian in 1987 and has been in her current role since 2002.
