MEET THE SPEAKERS
Connie Steed, MSN, RN, CIC, is the director of the infection control department for Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center in Greenville, SC. with over 30 years of combined nursing and infection control experience. Steed is a frequent speaker on the national and local levels regarding topics related to infection control and prevention. Prior to joining Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center, she was the employee health coordinator at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC. She has served in infection control, epidemiologist, nursing, and educator roles for the West George Medical Center and Bradley Center in Georgia.
Peggy Prinz Luebbert MS, MT (ASCP), CIC, CHSP, is currently an independent consultant and owner of Healthcare Interventions. She consults with healthcare facilities throughout the United States and recently worked with five hospitals that just completed successful Joint Commission surveys. Luebbert, a medical technologist with a master’s degree, has worked in infection control and healthcare safety for more than 20 years and has published and lectured extensively on a national level. She is certified in infection control and healthcare safety
