FACULTY
Christine L. Van Dusen , is a Specialist with Premier, Inc., Healthcare Informatics Division for the past eight years. She is the Quality Measure subject matter expert for national measurement initiatives. She provides the abstraction training for the National Hospital Quality Measure manual for Premier hospitals. Ms. Van Dusen has fourteen years of performance improvement experience in the acute care setting. These settings include academic, community, and pediatric facilities.
Jan Mathews, RN, MPHA, CPHQ, CNAA, BC, is the Director of Clinical Performance Improvement at CaroMont Healthcare in Gastonia, NC. Jan has been in this position for the two ½ yrs. During these years, GMH has been a part of the CMS/Premier Demonstration Program. Scores in all five areas of AMI, CHF, Pneumonia, Hip and Knee and CABG have continued to climb into the top 10% within the state of NC as well as the nation. She has worked with teams to develop strategies for the implementation of quality programs for I.H.I 100 K Lives, 5 Million Lives from Harm as well as the Quest Program through Premier.
