Meet the authors

Cynthia Hollingsworth, MS, BS, AAS, is the coordinator of instructional design and an adjunct assistant faculty at the Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis. She also serves on the editorial board for the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) and is a senior member in the Society for Technical Communication.

Dorothea Devanna,  MS, ACNS-BC, is a medical-surgical clinical nurse specialist at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA. She is responsible for nursing orientation, continuing education, competency assessment, and staff education within the organization.

Kathie Lasater, EdD, RN, is an assistant professor at the Oregon Health & Science University School of Nursing in Portland, OR, and recently served as interim statewide director of simulation learning for the university’s five campuses.

Jesika Gavilanes, MA, is the operations manager at the Simulation and Clinical Learning Center at the Oregon Health & Science University School of Nursing, which facilitates the integration of simulation into nursing and healthcare curriculum at all levels.
