This course explains corporate compliance, including false claims and whistleblower policies, as well as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) privacy and security as it pertains to coders, billers, and the medical records staff. It also looks at documentation practices for coders, billers, and the HIM staff. Case scenarios cover workplace practices that are roll specific to each of the six corporate compliance job role categories.
