Meet the Speakers
Susan W. Hendrickson, MHRD/OD, RN, CPHQ, FACHE is director of clinical quality and patient safety for the Via Christi Wichita Health Network in Wichita, Kansas. In her role she oversees patient safety, core measures, quality management/process improvement, clinical risk management, infection control, patient grievance resolution, regulatory compliance and survey readiness activities for two acute care campuses, a free-standing physical rehabilitation hospital and a behavioral health facility.
Trudy Beyersdorf, RN, BSN is a head nurse of ICU at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. She has been in the ICU for 9 years. Of those years, she spent two years working in a Cardiovascular/General ICU and 6 years as a head nurse in a 38 bed Neuro/General ICU. She assisted with the implementation of the Medical Response Team at Baptist Memorial Hospital in August of 2003. She is a member of AACN. In addition, she is the facilitator of the Critical Care Policy and Procedure Committee, and active in various hospital committees such as Nurse Practice Council, Unit Practice Council, and the Special Care Committee.
