Kadlec Reversed
Navigating Exclusive Contracts and Employment Agreements to Ensure Physician Competency
Product Description:
WEBCAST ON CD
Sponsored by The Greeley Guide to New Medical Staff Models
presented on September 24, 2008
Medical staff and legal experts join forces to help you create the most effective exclusive contracts.
The Kadlec case revealed a prevalent hospital practice whereby physicians who are terminated from an exclusive group as a result of quality of care concerns are frequently allowed to walk away without an investigation. In the well-publicized Kadlec case, the decision not to further investigate or report a physician led to the permanent injury of a patient and a landmark court decision.
When a problem arises with a physician under contract, how do you resolve the issue and ensure patient safety? How do you prevent problems from arising in the first place?
Listen to HCPro's Webcast Kadlec Reversed: Navigating Exclusive Contracts and Employment Agreements to Ensure Physician Competency, and learn how to design exclusive contracts that safeguard your facility from lawsuits and ensure patient safety. You will also receive practical solutions to help link your hospital's quality initiatives with a physicians group’s competency data and get the performance data you need.
