In-sourcing vs. Outsourcing Disease and Health Management
AUDIO CONFERENCE ON CD OR AUDIO ON-DEMAND
Sponsored by Health Plan Insider
presented on October 29, 2008
More health plans are bringing disease management (DM) services in-house as a way to reduce costs and improve member care. However, many managed care companies are struggling with which programs to bring in-house or whether to in-source all DM programs. During this audio conference, you will learn how two different companies—Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield and Healthways—have approached it.
Find out the cost-effective ways to provide the best programs for members.
Listen to HCPro's 60-minute audio conference In-sourcing vs. Outsourcing Disease and Health Management: What's the Right Mix? You will hear about the benefits and disadvantages of choosing either option: A representative of a large health plan discusses how taking DM in-house can result in cost-savings and improved member outcomes, and a representative from one of the leading DM companies describes the types of services a major DM organization provides that are often difficult for a health plan to duplicate.
