Medicare Secondary Payer
Clear Compliance Hurdles and Improve Registration Efficiency
Product Description:
Audio Conference on CD or Audio On-Demand
Sponsored by Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire Training Toolkit
presented on March 11, 2009
Facilities can lose significant reimbursement dollars if the proper hierarchy of payers is not identified during the registration process. Training access staff on the correct, compliant delivery of the Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) questionnaire is crucial; not only will it help your facility in case of an audit, but it can make your registration process much more efficient as well.
If delivery of the MSP questionnaire is second nature during registration, you are more likely to avoid a compliance trap. Listen to HCPro's 90-minute audio conference Medicare Secondary Payer: Clear Compliance Hurdles and Improve Registration Efficiency. Former MSP auditor Kevin Willis (Claim Services, Inc.) addressed the specific areas of noncompliance hospitals risk with improper delivery of the MSP questionnaire, as well as the potential consequences. Patient access expert Stephanie Smithson, CHAM (Dunn Memorial Hospital) provides details on what procedures her facility implemented to achieve a 100% pass rate during a recent RAC audit. The speakers also deliver helpful training tools, such as a staff retention quiz, an MSP questionnaire delivery checklist, and a sample policy to augment their presentation.
