Product Description:
Audio Conference on CD or Audio On-Demand
Sponsored by HCPro's JustCoding.com
presented on May 26, 2009
A program for physician practice staff
PROBLEM
Assigning evaluation and management (E/M) codes is no easy task. Trying to work through documentation insufficiencies and decipher between the different guidelines from CMS and local carriers as well as the different sets of E/M guidelines can lead to inaccurate coding as well as compliance risks.
SOLUTION
Learn from your peers with practical, real-world audit scenarios to illustrate common documentation and coding mistakes. These sample audits can aid you in examining potential problems at your practice to help ensure proper documentation and accurate coding, and help you prepare for a potential audit.
LEARN FROM US
Listen to HCPro's 90-minute audio conference, E/M Coding for Professional Services: Respond to Common Audit Findings and Documentation Problems with speakers, Joe Rivet, CCS-P, CPC, CEMC, CICA (HCPro) and Michelle Solomon, BA, LPN, CPC (Henry Ford Health System). The presenters walk you step-by-step through case studies that illustrate common audit findings related to acquiring patient history, documenting the exam, and coding the medical decisions. You'll also receive tools to help meet E/M standards, as well as advice on how to navigate discrepancies between CMS requirements and those of local carriers.
