PROBLEM

Despite extensive guidance related to query policies and procedures, many gray areas exist for which hospitals must account. Who can submit the query? What is a leading query? How long will staff wait for a query response? Answering these questions consistently to ensure compliance is a constant challenge.

SOLUTION

Develop a query policy and procedure that takes into account the many different facility-specific topics that directors and managers must ask.

LEARN FROM US

HCPro presents a 90-minute audio conference, Query Policies and Procedures: Ensure Consistency and Compliance across Your Facility featuring healthcare compliance expert Melissa Ferron, RHIA, CCS, (Melissa Ferron Healthcare Consulting) and coding/revenue cycle director Diana McWaid-Harrah, MS, RHIA, CCS, CPC (UCLA Healthcare).

You will learn how to determine which query method is ideal for your hospital, as well as discover best practice methods to develop a sound policy and procedure.
