MEET THE SPEAKERS
Derenda S. Pete, RN, MBA, is a nationally recognized health care facilitator and emergency services clinician with more than 25 years experience as project director, senior consultant, health care administrator, and department manager. She is a former managing partner of a healthcare management consulting firm, and a co-creator of a productivity software.
Brooke Wollenberg McDonnell, MBA, is the director of the patient flow department at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, which is the flagship hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS). Under her leadership, the patient flow department facilitates continuous improvement in the processes and technology that impact inpatient flow.
Kelly Cooke, MSN, RN, is the director of clinical resource management, social work and documentation improvement at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. With a background in hospital operations and home health, Cooke has expertise in managing patient flow from all portals of entry and in preventing third party payer denials.
