presented on June 16, 2009

Strengthen physician-hospital relations to weather the economic storm and improve care.

In the face of current economic challenges, hospitals and physicians are exploring new relationships such as joint ventures, employment, and gainsharing, but deciding which arrangements to engage in is painstaking and riddled with risk. Learn how hospital leaders in the field have effectively implemented alternative financial relationships with physicians that benefit all parties and continue to improve their bottom lines.

Listen to HCPro's Physician-Hospital Alignment: Practical Tools and Models in Today’s Economy. During this 90-minute audio conference, you’ll learn about a health system’s approach to adopting various medical staff models to cultivate successful physician-hospital relationships and improve the bottom line. In addition, a hospital shares its physician-economic alignment tool, which it uses to determine how best to structure relationships with individual physicians.

This program will provide a combination of expert analysis and real-world examples to help you:

  • Understand various medical staff models and how they fit in with the current economic climate
  • Manage more than one type of physician-hospital relationship
  • Determine the business arrangements that are right for your hospital using the physician-economic alignment tool
