TRAINING ISSUE: Identifying and preventing MDROs

Multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) are a pervasive problem in today's healthcare environment. Those charged with infection prevention must have a fundamental understanding of MDROs, how they are transmitted, and how to prevent them from causing potentially deadly infections. No matter what type of healthcare facility you are in, failure to adequately train staff about MDROs can expose your facility to hefty fines or reimbursement penalties, bad publicity, and negative patient outcomes.

LEARN FROM US

HCPro presents Infection Prevention Core Training, Part 1: Meeting the Challenge of Multidrug-Resistant Organisms (MDROs). Expert infection control consultants Libby Chinnes, RN, BSN, CIC (IC Solutions) and Peggy Prinz Luebbert MS, MT (ASCP), CIC, CHSP (Healthcare Interventions) illustrate how to conduct a risk assessment for MDROs in your facility, and show you how to involve multiple departments to ensure efficiency and safety across the continuum of care. The speakers present specific, practical tools and solutions that you can apply at your facility to combat the spread of these drug-resistant bacteria, and minimize the risk they pose to patients.

BONUS: At the conclusion of this program, participants will receive a fully customizable PowerPoint that they can use as a reference guide or a resource to conduct staff training at their own facility.

Your complete solution to infection prevention includes the 3-part core training webcasts, plus the soon-to-be published Infection Prevention Handbook!
