- finalized significant changes to requirements for physician supervision for therapeutic and diagnostic services
- implemented a new reimbursement calculation for separately payable drugs
- raised the packaging threshold for separately payable drugs
And that's not all. CMS also announced the updated payment rates and changes that allow outpatient facilities to bill Medicare for new pulmonary and intensive cardiac rehabilitation services furnished in hospital outpatient departments.
