MEET THE SPEAKERS

B.J. Collard, RN, BSN, CPHQ, RAC-CT, is founder of CTS Inc, a nurse consultation and education firm in Denver, CO. She has been a long-term care educator, consultant, and author for 20 years. Collard is a recognized authority on restorative nursing, having successfully completed a grant awarded by the Federal Administration on Aging to develop a model for delivery of restorative programs in nursing homes. She is a charter member of the American Association of Nursing Assessment Coordinators (AANAC) and served on AANAC’s original board of directors for six years.

Bonnie Foster, RN, BSN, Med
Bonnie Foster, RN, BSN, Med, is an independent long-term care consultant who has worked in geriatric care for 40 years. Her wide-ranging background as a CNA, charge nurse, staff development coordinator, director of nursing, and state surveyor for federal certification sets the foundation for her expertise as a skilled trainer in long-term care. Two of her key skill areas are organizing nursing departments and teaching leadership skills. Foster is a national lecturer on topics including the MDS, resident care plans, restorative nursing, and documentation.
