PEPPER for Critical Access Hospitals: Identify Your Audit Risk
Product Description:
AUDIO CONFERENCE ON CD OR ON-DEMAND
Sponsored by: Medicare Boot Camp® – Critical Access Hospital Version
Presented on Thursday, July 7, 2011
For the first time ever, PEPPER reports are coming to critical access hospitals (CAHs). PEPPER—Program for Evaluating Payment Patterns Electronic Report—will help you assess your organization’s risk for underpayments, overpayments and medical necessity denials.
During this 90-mintue audio conference, our speakers will explain PEPPER and tell you how to use your report to identify risk areas and protect your organization against potential audit recoupments. They will discuss short stays and medical necessity, the SNF three-day qualifying stays, and readmissions, as well as the purpose for monitoring coding of complications and comorbidities.
Note: If you are NOT a critical access hospital, be sure to listen to the June 23 PEPPER 2011: Identify Changes, Address Vulnerabilities, and Be Audit-Ready audio.
At the end of the program you will be able to:
- Locate the PEPPER reports and user guides
- Evaluate the information contained in the reports and determine what it means for your facility
